Harvest Appeal 2017 is specifically for food, school stationery and first aid for refugees arriving in Eritrea and orphans in Malawi.
Teenage girl refugee in Eritrea
The Trustees invite you to support our annual Harvest Appeal; they are aware that everyone is feeling the pinch and that ‘charity begins at home’. However, local food banks accept donations all year round, we ask but once a year for assistance helping our brothers and sisters in Africa. Your donations will support orphan education in Lilongwe during the next year and homeless refugees in Eritrea fleeing from persecution in Yemen and Ethiopia. If you are unable to donate goods this year perhaps you would run a fund raising event as financial contributions to assist with the sending of goods are essential. Each box now costs £24 to send overseas.
Food stuffs: dried food items – beans, pulses, rice and tinned items – all with a minimum of 12 month use by dates please [OCT 2018 minimum]
School Stationery: pencils, sharpeners, erasers, rulers, note books and solar powered calculators.
First Aid: plasters, bandages, tweezers, small scissors
